About

Carlyss Kurtti LPC, LPCC

Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in North Dakota. I am also licensed to provide counseling in Minnesota and Alaska. I have almost 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from North Dakota State University and have had the privilege of working with individuals facing a broad range of concerns—including depression, anxiety, panic disorders, phobias, codependency, relationship and parenting challenges, obsessive and compulsive behavior, mood disorders, personality disorders, trauma, abuse, divorce, and more. My therapeutic style is warm, patient, and non-judgmental. I believe in meeting you exactly where you are—with respect, compassion, and unwavering positive regard. I tailor each session using a blend of approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)—always guided by your unique needs and goals. I have a special passion for supporting survivors of abuse and domestic violence, as well as those navigating grief, trauma, divorce, or codependency. My practice is inclusive and affirming of all backgrounds and identities. Taking the first step toward healing takes courage—and I applaud you for beginning that journey. I’d be honored to walk beside you as you move toward greater wellness. Your care and growth matter deeply to me, and I’m committed to providing thoughtful, personalized support every step of the way.
